Consider/Approve School Calendar for the 2015 – 2016 School Year

The school calendar committee met to discuss a proposed school calendar for the 2015 – 2016 school year. This committee met diligently, bringing various ideas to the meetings from their respective schools for discussion. Members of this year's calendar committee were:

Black Oak – Lana Davis
Hillcrest – Travis Johnson
Lake Road – Kristen Kendall
Obion County Central – Greg Barclay
Ridgemont – Kim Little
South Fulton Elementary – Mack Pirtle
South Fulton Middle/High – Leah McFarland, Chuck Seratt

Every school administrator and teacher had an opportunity to vote on the proposed school calendar.

An additional 1/2 day on a Friday will be added to the final calendar somewhere in April or May depending on the testing windows which have not been released to us yet.

 

I wish to express my sincere appreciation to all members of the calendar committee.

 

Staff Recommendation:

On behalf of the calendar committee, I recommend approval of the school calendar for the 2015 – 2016 school year on the first and final reading.
